Birthday party FAQs:

Q. Who should be included in the count for the party? [+]

•    The birthday child is included in the guest count.
•    All those, including siblings, who will be participating in the gym activities.
•    Parents/guardians are not included in the count.

Q. What decorations am I allowed? [+]

A.  We allow balloons or any other simple table decorations. We do provide (free of charge) your table liners, cups, plates, napkins and utensils. However, if you prefer to have a themed birthday party, you may bring your own table settings.

Q. What type of food is allowed at the birthday party? [+]

A. You may bring in any food and drinks for the children.  Some have pizza delivered.  Others just serve cake and ice cream.  Cupcakes, juice boxes, and ice cream cups have worked great as treats during birthday parties. We do have a refrigerator to keep your drinks cold and a freezer, too. We only ask that you do not have red drinks as spills from these type of drinks stain the carpet.

Q. Can we serve alcohol for the adults? [+]

A. Because our birthday parties are for children, there is no alcohol allowed. Also, there is no smoking permitted anywhere on the premises.

Q.  What is the format of the party? [+]

A.  The first hour is gym time with the instructor.  Normally, it is structured.  The children are given an explanation of each Olympic apparatus and then have the chance to try some basic skills.  Depending on the ages of the children, they are allowed time to jump on the trampoline and use the zip line.  If you would rather have an open gym atmosphere where the children just play in the gym with an instructor’s supervision, we can do that, too.  Just let us know in advance.  The second hour is used for opening gifts and eating.  Tables will be set in the party area for the guests.  We have two separate gyms:  our preschool gym and our main gym.  The ages of the children determine which gym will be used.

Q. How early should we arrive for the birthday party? [+]

A. We suggest at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled birthday party time. This will help us in collecting the waivers and any last minute instructions to the birthday host that may be necessary. If you should arrive too early, your party may need to wait in our lobby. Your birthday party will start on time, so please remind your guests to arrive on time.

Q. What about invitations? [+]

A. We supply you with party invitations for pickup unless you prefer to buy your own. A waiver for each guest is included with the invitations. Each guest must bring that wavier (filled out by a parent) to participate in the gym portion of the party.

Q. Do you need separate waivers for each child, even if they are in the same family? [+]

A. No.  All immediate family members can have their names on the same waiver. We have plenty on hand if a child forgets to bring it.

Q. What should guests wear to the party? [+]

A. Your guests should wear comfortable clothes – t-shirt with shorts or gymnastics leotards.  It’s best not to wear anything with buttons, buckles, zippers, belts or rivets. The children go into the gym barefoot.  All jewelry should be removed. If your guests have long hair, it needs to be put in a ponytail if possible.

Q. Will I be charged for infants or adults attending the party? [+]

A. No. Infants and parents are considered spectators at the party. They are to remain in the lobby area and not in the gym during the first part of the party. However, they can participate during the last half of the birthday celebration when the group moves into the birthday party area.

Q. Can the adults go into the gym if they want? [+]

A. No. Adults are not allowed into the gym.  The instructor may allow one adult in to take pictures.

Q. Can the children go back into the gym during the second half of the party time when they are done eating? [+]

A. No. The cost of the party includes only one hour in the gym.  If you would like additional time in the gym there will be an additional cost and it must be planned upon scheduling the party.

Q. What do I need to do to reserve my party? [+]

A. Reserving the party requires a non-refundable $75.00 deposit. This $75.00 deposit is applied towards the total cost of your party. Then we need your final count and final payment the Tuesday before the party.

Q. Is my deposit refundable? [+]

A. No. You may reschedule your party before giving your final count without loss of your deposit, but the deposit is non-refundable.

Q. What if I need to change the date of my party? [+]

A. No problem. A party date can be switched provided we have a date available for you, an instructor available at that time and it is done before your final party count.

Q. Am I allowed to tip the party host? [+]

A. Tipping is appreciated but not at all expected. However, you can tip if you feel the party host has given outstanding service and helped to make your party run smoothly.
